Light enters a high vaulted space through an irregular sequence of stone arches in Classical Archway, a work held in the wallet linked to the Art Blocks collecting profile named Bernardo.2,3,4 The picture belongs to All AI Art Looks The Same, released on 10 March 2023 and credited at project level to Various Artists, while the token itself names Gene Kogan as its artist.4,5,6 The same wallet holds work from Materia Mania, released on 12 March 2023, and from Elemental Creation : The Artistic Journey, released on 8 April 2023.2,7,8,9,10 Together they trace a short path through March and April, and this reading follows the works in the order in which their projects appeared.6,9,10

The collection description presents the work of the participating artists as a showcase of the diverse outputs within the AI Collaborative Art movement.4,5 The series biography adds that the roster gathered the lead artists of every earlier BrainDrops project, which makes the edition a roll call of the platform to that date.6 It reads the title as a rebuttal phrased as a concession, an answer to the familiar complaint, voiced by Keith Kisser on Medium, that AI images look as though they were pressed from molded plastic.6 Kogan, whose Brain Loops project was among those earlier releases, is the artist credited on this token.4,6 The eye can follow the curve of one arch and recognise it again in the next.4 Placed inside a collection built to dispute sameness, the title seems to ask whether an inherited form can still carry an individual signature, and the uneven rhythm of the stone openings in the picture leans toward yes.4,6 This is interpretation drawn from the title and the collection's framing, not a statement by the artist.4,6

In huemin's study from Materia Mania, a cluster of gold and grey bars seems to hang against a black ground.11,7 The project description promises abstract, AI generated forms on a solid black background, and its stated aim is to bring out the emergent and chaotic character of diffusion models by pushing their habit of producing artifacting shapes and textures.11,7 The series biography says this reverses the usual aim of image generation, since artefacts that most practitioners try to suppress become the subject, treated as the behaviour of the model rather than its mistakes.9 It describes huemin as an artist and developer with a background in engineering and physics and the creator of Deforum, a tool for animating diffusion models.9 The title word materia is Latin for matter, and the black ground isolates each form as a specimen, stripping away setting, scale and story.9

The traits read like a specimen label.11,9 The primary colour is yellow, the secondary colour gray, the shape isometric and the texture matte.11 The biography notes that the texture vocabulary splits in two, with matte an ordinary finish while latent and trace borrow terms from the machine's side of the process.9 By that distinction this work sits with the familiar language of surfaces rather than the model's internal vocabulary.11,9 The shape value adds tension, because isometric is a convention of technical drawing, an orderly way of projecting volume, and here it appears inside a project devoted to the unruly.11,7 The hanging bars look like an engineered specimen. The skewed angles make it difficult to tell where one bar ends and the next begins.11,7,9

A seated figure faces glowing screens inside a green architectural space in the Elemental Creation work by Charlesai.12,8 The project was released on 8 April 2023 and credited to Charlesai, whom the series biography identifies as a French artist.8,10 Its description presents the collection as a portrait of the emotional ups and downs artists live through, bringing together technology, economics and artistic expression and joining ancient art to modern art.12,8 The biography says the imagery echoes nineteenth century academic history painting, with classical architecture interrupted by modern screens.10 The traits of this work register that pairing directly, since Columns and Screens are both marked Yes.12 The Market trait reads Bullish, a trading term for rising prices and the counterpart of the bearish and ranging states the biography glosses, which carries the economic strand of the description into the picture's own labels.12,10 The seated figure facing the screens fits the biography's account of artists seated before monitors inside classical settings, which makes the work a small scene of past and present sharing a room.12,10

An architectural thread crosses the project boundaries.4,12 Kogan's title summons the classical arch, and the Charlesai work records columns among its traits, so both draw on the vocabulary of ancient building, one through naming and the other through a catalogue of motifs.4,12 The Materia Mania work offers a counterpoint, since its isometric shape belongs to technical projection rather than to any inherited monument, and its project turns attention away from depicted things toward the textures a model produces when its tendencies are amplified.11,7,9

The dates sharpen the picture.6,9,10 On 10 March 2023 BrainDrops gathered its artists into a shared argument about diversity, on 12 March it issued an individual artist's study of diffusion artefacts, and on 8 April it released a series about the artist's own economic and historical situation.6,9,10 Each answers the same underlying question from a different side.6,9,10 The group edition asks whether inherited form can still be individual, huemin's study treats the machine's own errors as material worth looking at, and Charlesai places the maker among screens, markets and columns.4,7,12,9,10 Bernardo's wallet touches every one of those moments and forms a legible cross section of how BrainDrops artists in March and April of 2023 used AI to address inherited form, machine error and the conditions under which art is made.2,4,11,12
