Dream Capsules

The work in context

Dream Capsules combines generated text with text-to-image algorithms. That staged process places language between an initial concept and a final visual result, turning the dream into something mediated by more than one generative system. [1]

Construction and process

Obvious’ general manifesto describes a practice of choosing subjects, curating data, assembling algorithms, selecting outputs and deciding how work is displayed. Those stages help situate the collective’s authorship, but the manifesto should not be mistaken for a project-specific Dream Capsules model card. [1][2]

Release and mint

The official catalogue dates this release to 2022-01-26. At the 2026-10-13 check, the platform reported 1,000 minted works against a maximum of 1,000. Those equal figures establish the platform’s reported count, not how quickly the edition sold or who performed the mints. [1]

Launch price, presale conditions, mint duration and realised proceeds are not established in this dossier’s evidence. No current market price is substituted for a historical mint price. [1]

Token and preservation

This release uses the shared BrainDrops Ethereum contract. Its official project identifier is 7; the archive matches token IDs to projects and checks ownership at a fixed block. The contract record, token metadata and displayed media are separate parts of the object. [3][4]

BD5D stores optimised still previews, and preserves original media links in its catalogue. The evidence assembled here does not establish that the generative model, its training data, or the full-resolution artwork bytes execute or reside on Ethereum.

Series-specific licence: not established. No explicit licence grant has been verified in the sources cited for this dossier. BD5D does not label the work CC0 or assign commercial rights from token ownership. The paper or software associated with a project may have its own licence; that is a separate record from the artwork.
