Paradise Lost

The work in context

Paradise Lost is conceived and curated as a graphic novel, with a script developed using AI models. The stated themes of power, friendship and freedom are organised into a world that the viewer can follow rather than a loose grouping united only by appearance. [1]

Construction and process

The documentation explicitly places AI in the writing process as well as the image collection’s wider context. It does not publish a full division of labour between tools or identify every model. This makes the script an important part of the research record without justifying an invented technical recipe. [1]

Writing and continuity

Ren’s production statement describes ChatGPT assisting with scenarios and narrative developments. Maintaining consistent characters and places required prompting and editing. The artist presents the work as five acts spanning more than twenty chapters. [2]

Release and mint

The official catalogue dates this release to 2023-12-29. At the 2026-10-13 check, the platform reported 500 minted works against a maximum of 500. Those equal figures establish the platform’s reported count, not how quickly the edition sold or who performed the mints. [1]

Launch price, presale conditions, mint duration and realised proceeds are not established in this dossier’s evidence. No current market price is substituted for a historical mint price. [1]

Token and preservation

This release uses the shared BrainDrops Ethereum contract. Its official project identifier is 29; the archive matches token IDs to projects and checks ownership at a fixed block. The contract record, token metadata and displayed media are separate parts of the object. [3][4]

BD5D stores optimised still previews, and preserves original media links in its catalogue. The evidence assembled here does not establish that the generative model, its training data, or the full-resolution artwork bytes execute or reside on Ethereum.
