ClipMatrix Creatures

The work in context

ClipMatrix Creatures brings text guidance into three-dimensional form. The collection presents animated creatures, with prompts influencing shape and surface as well as the scene’s appearance. Its project site describes four trait groups: Creature, Texture, Motion and Weaponized. [1]

Construction and process

Jetchev’s September 2021 paper describes text-controlled textured meshes using CLIP embeddings. This is stronger evidence than a general “AI-generated” label: a named method, an author and a technical publication connect the work to 3D research. The NFT’s displayed animation should still be distinguished from possession of an editable mesh or a grant of game-asset rights. [1][2][3]

Release and mint

The official catalogue dates this release to 2022-03-14. At the 2026-10-13 check, the platform reported 500 minted works against a maximum of 500. Those equal figures establish the platform’s reported count, not how quickly the edition sold or who performed the mints. [1]

Launch price, presale conditions, mint duration and realised proceeds are not established in this dossier’s evidence. No current market price is substituted for a historical mint price. [1]

Token and preservation

This release uses the shared BrainDrops Ethereum contract. Its official project identifier is 11; the archive matches token IDs to projects and checks ownership at a fixed block. The contract record, token metadata and displayed media are separate parts of the object. [4][5]

BD5D stores optimised still previews, and preserves original media links in its catalogue. The evidence assembled here does not establish that the generative model, its training data, or the full-resolution artwork bytes execute or reside on Ethereum.

Rights record

Series-specific licence: not established. No explicit licence grant has been verified in the sources cited for this dossier. BD5D does not label the work CC0 or assign commercial rights from token ownership. The paper or software associated with a project may have its own licence; that is a separate record from the artwork.
