🎵 Fake Feelings

The work in context

Fake Feelings is an audio release credited to Dadabots and Silverstein. The official account describes a stereo neural synthesis model trained on Silverstein’s music, generating the sonic character of post-hardcore and emo while the vocal sounds become syllables rather than meaningful lyrics. [1]

Construction and process

Its place in the archive is a reminder to listen: emotional force can survive the loss of semantic language. Dadabots’ broader practice combines neural networks, open-source work, live performance and generative music streams. The collection description documents the training source, but not a complete model, dataset licence or training recipe. [1][2]

Release and mint

The official catalogue dates this release to 2022-01-16. At the 2026-10-13 check, the platform reported 1,000 minted works against a maximum of 1,000. Those equal figures establish the platform’s reported count, not how quickly the edition sold or who performed the mints. [1]

Launch price, presale conditions, mint duration and realised proceeds are not established in this dossier’s evidence. No current market price is substituted for a historical mint price. [1]

Token and preservation

This release uses the shared BrainDrops Ethereum contract. Its official project identifier is 6; the archive matches token IDs to projects and checks ownership at a fixed block. The contract record, token metadata and displayed media are separate parts of the object. [4][5]

BD5D stores optimised still previews, and preserves original media links in its catalogue. The evidence assembled here does not establish that the generative model, its training data, or the full-resolution artwork bytes execute or reside on Ethereum.

Rights record

Dadabots’ production essay explicitly describes Fake Feelings as CC-BY-NC: sharing and remixing are permitted on a non-commercial basis, with commercial use requiring permission. The essay does not specify a licence version. This is the collaborators’ published rights statement, distinct from token ownership. [3]
